Interesting. There's one of these signs at the garden down the block from me. The sign is identical, except for the garden name/address. I wonder who's behind it? At first I thought they were selling free plants they got from Green Thumb, but now I'm not sure.
Thanks EV - our Annual Plant Sale for the Manhattan Chapter of the North American Rock Garden Society was a huge success and sold out by about noon. We only have one location, our friends at El Sol Brillante, but in past years have held it at 6th and B and Merchant House Museum. We grow most of our "uncommon plants for city folk" and have great programs monthly, check our website at www.mcnargs.org We love the EV gardens - join us! Michael Riley, Chairman
I was not implying there was any conspiracy, but...
The sign on the garden down the block from me was for the plant sale on 12th Street. This is what happens when I just read the headlines and look at the pictures. :)

Probably not the conspiracy you imply but a joint effort by a couple if not more of the community gardens. Go buy some plants!
