The Standard, East Village, is extending a complimentary three-night stay for those living in 119, 121, 123 and 125 Second Avenue. They say residents "can swing by the hotel with proof of address, and their stay is on us."
A reminder that a few years back, The Standard EV also saved The Neighborhood School's library. Same school where the Red Cross shelter is now. We are all a community, and it's wonderful when the newer businesses here, the ones it's easy and often correct to dismiss as asshole parvenues, act like it. Thanks, Standard EV, and thanks to all who pitch in to help neighbors.
