They were all over 14th and 1st and all along Avenue A today with their green wigs and "funny" leprechaun hats and all that other "Irish" shit. I guess they think they need to practice drinking and looking like idiots for the actual day.
They'll start lining up around 3 AM on Tuesday outside Mc Sorley's. By 5 AM, the line will stretch around the corner and up 3rd Avenue. Then the buses will show up, bringing in kids from area colleges. Happens every year. By noon, Vomit Alley (behind the new Cooper Union building) will be a very popular little street. Hopefully, there'll be an ambulance or two parked around the corner.
Great news, NYU is on Spring Break! All the drunken Bros and Hoes are down in Cancun and South Beach acting out their favorite scenes from Girls Gone Wild. St Paddys day will be much calmer this year, I have already noticed it's been much quieter all weekend.
Yup, I'm in South Beach right now (living here for 2 months) and I can confirm the NYU kids are down here. I've never seen so many people on the beach as there was today. It included some kid named "Cody Simpson" who was posing in the water while the papparazi (sp?0 took photos. The 18 year old girls were sure excited.

Unless the debauchery commences today post brunch, I would have to say this was the tamest St Pats day I can recall in 30 years.
