The conversion of 286 First Ave. into a Chipotle continues… the signage arrived late last week here in Stuy Town near East 17th Street.
The storefront last housed the PCVST Broker Welcome Center, which moved up the block. Seems like maybe they could have combined these two ventures in the space?

Thank God, another Chipotle, and not a moment too soon since Moe's up on 21st St. just closed down. No more burrito shortages now!
Can't arrive too soon. 1st ave above 14th is a desert of food options.
I know the EV is overrun with bars...but as a Stuy Towner, I can tell you, that stretch of First Ave could use a bar. There used to be Quigley's, and the other burger/bar joint (I've forgotten the name) -- both spaces are now banks/drugstores/delis.
Ate there once. Wow I couldn't sleep all night ended up drinking a gallon of water just to balance out the salt in their food. Stay away. Eat at home.
MJ Armstrongs...1st Avenue could use another drinking establishment.
Flush hard Stuy Town, it's a long way to the kitchen.
The food handling in these places are bad for your health. Chipotle just closed down 40 stores due to an e-coli outbreak, and last summer over 100 people got sick at Chipotle from norovirus. Forget the 2000 calorie burritos, it's not that easy to scale up an operation with fresh food that sits out and is ndles by so many people, which is probably why Chipotle keeps flunking theiir local Dept of Health inspections too.
