The deli is just getting up and running here on 11th Street just east of First Avenue… in one of the storefronts that previously housed Reciprocal Skateboards.
Reciprocal closed in March after five-plus years in business. In a Facebook post, owner Jon Eastman wrote: "We are unfortunately completely out of resources to continue operating any further. And by resources, I mean money."

Such a cool space replaced with a drab, fluorescent-lit store front. Depressing.
I skate boarded as a kid and was always tickled by the idea of getting a board to pick it up 15 years later. Tool around in the flat of tompkins, try some manuals and just cruise. Heck now that I have health insurance maybe even an olley, pop-shove it, or heel flip. Sadly I waited to long to support this store. Sorry mate.
There is a glut of delis in that area.
Behold. The power of cheese.
A glut of shitty delis... What I would give for a good one... Please open soon Tompkin's Square Bagel! We need you!
If you walk a block east there's a Tompkins square bagels. I don't get your comment anon 3:01
What an easy move...considering they have had nothing in it for years! Literally zero candy on the shelves. No chips. No soda. No milk. No products for sale really. Bare shelves. Maybe some calling cards and hot tea. What is the real deal? There is no info anywhere about its existence. Not sure what this deli is or is trying to be. So curious for years!
