I can't leave comments on Goggla's blog so I'll leave it here. Did no one contact the manager of Columbus Park to tell them there was a nesting hawk couple there? The manager might have been responsive and avoided putting poison out if they did indeed know. Call, email, call. Repeatedly if you have to in order to get the message across. This is terrible and tragic and might have been avoided.
The second photo is a riot.
@Anon 2:35 - yes, complaints were made to the parks dept about the poison, but I believe they were under orders from the DOH.
