Because a few people have asked now... the bar at 325 E. 14th St. between First Avenue and Second Avenue with the free pizza is still open. The awning disappeared about, oh, 10 days or so ago. Giving the place that We're Closed look.
Perhaps a new or refurbished one is one the way...

It was the day of the really strong wind, they said the wind took it out!
I've been down here for 30 years and never once have I set foot in that place. Perhaps I should before it to is gone.
