Beloved Chinook RV still transporting precious holiday tree cargo
[Back in March via Andréa Stella]
Back in March, we noted the above holiday-tree-carrying Chinook RV here along East 14th Street near Avenue A.
Fast-forward to today, when a special EVG correspondent spotted the Chinook on the road (Avenue B and Third Street) ... still with the [much deader] tree on top...
Per the EVG special correspondent: "Note that the tree is tied on firmly with red cord — as if it’s really important or something?"
Is that a question?

Is Chevy Chase in the driver's seat?
THIS MEANS SOMETHING.

Saving it for next year. It's called recycling.
That's what you call an eyesore

I don't think they know it is on there.

I don't think they know it is on there.
When I was a kid, we were taking a vacation and packed the family and everything in the station wagon; somehow my dad left his shaving kit on the luggage rack, and a driver one lane over from us made upward motions to suggest that something was up there. So dad pulled over, brought the kit in, and started up again.
"We travel light," he said.
I saw a man entering this vehicle via the driver's side door during the last week of April. It was parked at the corner of East 14th Street and Avenue A. I was expecting to see a tie-dyed-clad Bernie Sanders look-alike, but it was exactly the opposite. He was a tall, thin man in approximately his mid-twenties, with long black coiffed hair parted in the middle and cut off straight below the shoulders. He wore an untucked button-down blue Oxford striped shirt, khaki Bermuda shorts and high-end dock shoes. He was dressed like he was on his way to a Connecticut Yacht Club. The tree was still on the roof, but I haven't seen the vehicle since. If I see him again, I'll post an update.
