The Carl Fischer clock has read "almost 9:30" for many years. I have long wished that it were worth it to the apartment building management that replaced the music publisher to get it running again.
Did the clock run on time before Carl Fischer closed? I don't remember. I did attend the CF final blowout clearance sale, in hopes of good deals. Alas - I didn't find anything that interested me.
To anonymous @2:14--Yes, the clock used to keep time. It was on my way to work (still is), and I'd always glance up at it to check my progress on the way in. Even now, I find myself checking the "almost 9:30" out of habit.

Umm, EVG? It's almost 9:30, according to the clock on the wall.

So not much of a clue about the actual time . . .
It's a beautiful 8th note. I used to love browsing sheet-music in that store.
