Stuffed Ice Cream coming to 1st Avenue
A worker renovating 139 First Ave. told EVG correspondent Steven that an ice cream shop is opening here this summer between St. Mark's Place and Ninth Street.
Work permits for the address shows that the business name is Stuffed Ice Cream. There isn't any other information at the moment.
Curious location for this: The space is just one storefront away from Davey's Ice Cream, which has a strong following and an extensive menu featuring sundaes, milk shakes and homemade cookies.
The address was previously home to American Deli & Grocery, which closed after five months in business... and before that, Scarab Lounge, a hookah joint, held forth.

Oh look! And yet *more* kiddie krap!
Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed today.
The idiotic flood of frozen treat establishments is almost a running gag. Anyone that thinks a neighborhood needs or wants more fucking ice cream whether rolled, stuffed or made with bacon is out of their mind. But as capitalist are fond of saying the "market" will take care of itself. Now it's a race to see who closes first, this place or that gelato place across from the park. My money is on which ever has a lease from Icon.
Speak for yourself. The more ice cream, the better!
in the EV retail and commercial "diversity" is going extinct the way ethnic diversity has.
I agree, the more ice cream, the better. I'll be sure to check this place out when they open.
Ethnic diversity has gone extinct? Where do you live, Japan? Africa? Israel? Ethnic diversity is alive and well in the greatest city on earth. Maybe you should get out more and stop taking things so seriously. And enjoy some stuffed iced cream too!
What is stuffed ice cream?
