You may have noticed a group of travelers camping out in front of 59 Cooper Square at Seventh Street this summer.
An EVG reader, who works nearby, said that on Monday, the group was gone — "replaced by a bleach cleaning powder. Looked like the church [the First Ukrainian Assembly of God] figured out how to 'clean out' the crusties."
Yesterday morning, someone dumped garbage on the sidewalk where the sleeping bags had been, on top of the cleaning powder ... prompting the reader to wonder if this was an act of retaliation...

The "travelers" remind me of the Peanuts character "Pig-Pen" .
Graffiti too --- the images are like "Spot the Difference" one saw in Highlights magazine at the doctor's office.
It's pretty disgusting that these "travelers" have no issue vandalizing and tagging a landmarked building from 1867 just because the owner (a church nonetheless) doesn't want a permanent group of smelly degenerates shooting up and drinking outside of their building 24 hours a day.
Well at least now we know that powdered bleach is a cheap and effective way to send these guys on their way
"travelers" is such a deeming term - please use the correct "crustees" or "krusteez".

The graffiti is disgusting, just like these "travelers" - and "travelers" can also be spelled "LOSERS".
Another month and they will be gone as Dad wants them back home
So all you have to do is spread clorox detergent to ward off the bums. Who knew they would be soap-phobic?
Maybe the travelers disintegrated into white powder LOL.
That's why they call them Crusties--they're all dried up.
