One witness says "smoke is pouring out of the top floor apartment on the back right side of the building." The retail space on this corner is currently vacant (the former Percy's Tavern).

There was smoke coming from the top floor apartment on the north side of the building toward 14th Street as well as the apartment right below. It was coming out both the front and the back of the building. I didn't hear an explosion, but I got a Citizen alert saying someone heard an explosion before the fire began. I hope no one got hurt. A witness said one lady wrapped in a blanket was helped down the stairs out the back of the building.
