Their post mentions that she lived at 230-232 E. Fourth St. We always thought it was 234 E. Fourth St., which is between Avenue A and Avenue B (and next to the entrance for Van Da).
In any event, here she is talking about her old EV place here in the "Madonna Rising" special from 1998 with Rupert Everett...
In the next segment, Madonna and Rupert go to (RIP!) Kate's Joint on 4th and B.
Madonna wheatpaste by The Postman as seen on First Avenue.

How do you not remember what floor you lived on when you were a sentient adult? I remember the phone number my parents had from 1960-1964, when we lived in Queens, and I was only 7 years old in '64.

When you're a small child, there's far less information begging for priority. I remember my phone number from when I was a kid, but to be fair, there were only two numbers competing for space in my brain: mine, and that of my best friend—who lived next door.
Thanks for this clip, I thought it was sweet.
I remember my childhood phone number, but I find myself having to get out a calculator to figure out my age. Our brains are all different.
She lived on the 5th floor of 234 E 4.
232 at the time was abandoned. Those were different times.
Judge much? I moved so much when i first got here 20+ yrs ago that i don't remember which floors i lived on either.
Man i miss Kate's Could go for a Un-trurkey club and one of those lemon ice teas right about now
and now I can’t stop thinking about how delicious the carrot soup was at Kate’s Joint
Thanks for mentioning Kate's Joint. I was trying to remember the name of that restaurant the other day, and all I could think of was "not Old Devil Moon, the other one."
Yeah, they're wrong.
Only person who lived at 232 was "Samson" on the ground floor behind the pulldown gate.
Madonna also lived on Ave B between 3rd and 4th. I forget the house number, but it was the building on the east side that collapsed 10-15-20-25 years ago?? My old roommate also lived in the building for awhile.
WOW! it's like going stepping into a time machine. Madonna was everything to me as a young, closeted gay boy growing up in a small town in the Nevada desert during the 80's and 90's. I simply adored and iodized everything about that woman. And a part of me still does. It's incredible how time passes. I have lived in Alphabet City since 2010 and love it so. Of course when she lived here, I was in elementary school unaware of how violent, edgy and scary NYC was back then. It's amazing how just one passing moment on that stoop changed the course of her life and her career; it gave me chills listening to her speak about it. I would have loved to have been an adult then and to have experienced the city for what it was and how untouched and original it all seemed to be. That anything was possible. I have every song she ever recorded and listen to them often when I am feeling sad or blue. She might had a bit too much of plastic surgery and fillers, but she will always be a queen to me. Thanks for sharing this video!
