Depending on your location, up to three (or more!) inches of rain has fallen, per the National Weather Service.
EVG correspondent Steven checked out Tompkins Square Park, where there is standing water in locations... up to an ankle-deep on the flood-prone east side of the main lawn ...
There's also standing water on the north side of the park office ... these photos are both looking toward 10th Street...
Thankfully, there isn't any sign of fallen branches/trees in the park. There's also standing water on the north side of the park office ... these photos are both looking toward 10th Street...

it is raining. It will stop and the sun will come back out. The water will even drain away. I know this doesn't meet the social media agenda of PURE HYSTERIA about everything, but it is true.
Gee - would it be so hard to ask the parks dept to unclog the drain that is there ? Oh forgot, that is too much work for them.
Oh, right, please keep in mind all the work they are doing to oversee and regulate all of those feisty volunteer community gardeners to make sure they don’t do anything WRONG! That’s a lot of work writing all those rules and regs, spellchecking, formatting and paginating… oh, and running it by the spin doctors to make sure they’ve included enough smiley faces and daisies.
Great shots by your intrepid correspondent Steven. Thanks for the report.
Only that last time 60 people died, and hundreds swam for their lives in subway.
