The longtime (nearly 40 years!) occult-themed shop that sells custom-carved candles, incense and books, among other items, left its previous home at 424 E. Ninth St. between Avenue A and First Avenue last month.
You can check out the Enchanments website and/or Instagram account for exact opening times this week.
The new outpost is conveniently located next door to the just-opened Hekate Café & Elixir Lounge.
Glad to see someone finally settling into 165 Avenue B... the last full-time retail tenant here was the excellent junk-thrift shop Waldorf Hysteria, which closed some 15 years ago.

It's so great seeing all of these new openings throughout the East Village. Here's hoping they all thrive
I loved the Waldorf Hysteria. Didn't there used to be a furniture repair place across the street?
Oh no!! Why they leaving 9th?? Croman building.
Holy crap, is it really 15 years since we lost Waldorf Hysteria? Wow...
I have to be honest here, I don’t share their beliefs but they’ve been a fixture in this neighborhood and a prime example of the diversity that makes this old time resident love this neighborhood! I wish them Good Luck 🍀 and Longevity in their new location!!
We are now the Witchcraft District. I'll take it!
I congratulate Enchantments on their new digs and also remember the late and great Waldorf Hysteria, I still have amazing pieces I bought there
Wow Ave B is now witch row. Love it! Plus a new bookshop down the block!
It’s great to see a neighborhood fixture continue to survive in this difficult economy. And, they don’t serve alcohol, or pizza, or coffee, or dumplings. You go girlfriend!
Sorry that they are leaving the original 9th street location, but psyched they have a new home! I cherish my pieces from Waldorf Hysteria and all the whacky memories! Wishing the best of luck to the witches of Avenue Beelzebub!
