No, these are not Liriope muscari or "Lilyturf." Blue flowering plants pictured are Hyacinthoides hispanica, commonly called "Spanish Bluebell" or "Wood Hyacinth." Much larger than the benign Liriope, all parts of Hyacinthoides hispanica are highly toxic.Reference: https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/hyacinthoides-hispanica/
Thank you for your "Spanish Bluebell" identification, with Latin name. I was wondering what this lovely flowering plant was on my last walk through TSP. It must self-propagate because it seems like there are more patches each year.
