Updated: There's an auction here today at 2 p.m.
---
There's a pop-up message on the pizzeria's website...
Ownership didn't cite any reasons for the closure.
The pizzeria opened in 2007 and served up some solid slices... not to mention an eggplant parm hero. They will be missed.
H/T Stacie Joy!

I wonder what that means for the dining shed. Is it Solo Pizza's or Eastpoint since it is in front of both store. fronts?
Their pizza was very good, back at the Midway/Rehab days.
Their grandma slice was absolute perfection! I will miss it and the friendly staff. 😞
Surprisingly good pie considering how generic (chain?) the place looked. I was a regular visitor but often found that they were open irregular hours over the past year.
They had a good classic slice. Terrible chicken parm hero.
Glad that other one opened on E 2nd now and I'm sure the;'re happy about this news too.
Now, about that structure. It sits empty unless it serves the Long Island drunk college kids at eastpoint.
It's so wide it almost causes accidents daily.
Remove!
The curbside dining structure was used both by Solo and Eastpoint.
Their slices were great. But Luzzos is hands down my favorite in the neighborhood, maybe the whole US. I loved them on 1 st Ave, and was so happy to see them on 2 nd and B. And they are friendly and kind as well. One day when I was broke , walking my dog, I walked past and said how happy I was they were still in the EV- the owner gave me two free slices- one for me and one for my dog.
Bummer. It really was excellent pizza.
Damn that was my go-to. Guess it's now Uncle Sam's on Clinton. Luzzos hdoes not have slices from what I understand.
Hi Glamma! Luzzo's has slices on 2nd and B.
That's in the devastating column. They were so reliable for last minute good meals. I hadn't seen the big guy owner in a long while. Very sad about this.
