The meeting is tomorrow (Wednesday) at 5 p.m. at Downtown Social, 149 Second Ave. between Ninth Street and 10th Street. (The bar will not be in service during the meeting.)

This is part of the NYPD's initiative called the Neighborhood Coordination Officers (NCO) program. The 9th Precinct is split up into four sectors, with two officers assigned to each sector. Find a list of the 9th Precinct's NCOs here.

I would come and complain about the disgusting shacks that now have huge trash receptacles on them and the sidewalks (they're supposed to be taken back inside) or all of these restaurants putting tables on both sides of the sidewalk so you have to walk through a restaurant tunnel OR all of the businesses that put their chalkboard sign in the middle of the friggin sidewalk but I don't think the cops can do anything about it. It's all DOT or DOS I think?

Jess, not quite right. The receptacles can be within 3 feet of the building if there is no space inside.....of course no one pays attention to that part of it
Jess maybe move back to the suburbs if outdoor dining bothers you that much? We had outdoor tables way before covid and it’s one of the nicest things about living in a walkable city …
