I think they were just trying to set the record for latest tree disposal posted on this blog, and were worried it might be overlooked if they waited until Christmas Eve
I agree with Sean. My conspiracy theory is that people in the neighborhood deliberately hold onto their Christmas trees until they look like this, in hopes of being featured on EV Grieve!

We had a Dec. 24 discard last year... likely by someone who wanted the EVG cash prize, which, unfortunately, still can't seem to find!
