After a short break, Zaragoza Mexican Deli & Grocery is back open on Avenue A

It was good to see the gate open yesterday at the wonderful Zaragoza Mexican Deli & Grocery, 215 Avenue A between 13th Street and 14th Street. 

The Martinez family (Pompeyo and Maria) had been away for a break since May 7. Apparently, there wasn't a sign for patrons, and we heard from a few nervous Zaragoza fans. 

All is well!

EVG contributor Stacie Joy stopped by 22-year-old standby Zaragoza Mexican Deli & Grocery at 215 Avenue A between 13th Street and 14th Street at the start of the day ... as owners Pompeyo and Maria Martinez were getting ready for this May 5.. and serving more delicious and inexpensive tacos, burritos and tortas...

Zaragoza Mexican Deli & Grocery is at 215 Avenue A between 13th Street and 14th Street. For now, the shop is open from 9 a.m. to late evening.

Checking in on Zaragoza Mexican Deli & Grocery

EVG regular Lola Saénz reports that Zaragoza Mexican Deli & Grocery is up and running at 215 Avenue A between 13th Street and 14th Street. Pompeyo and company are making their Mexican food (to go) ... the small shop also has other grocery items (beer! milk! rice!)



For now, the shop is open from 9 a.m. to late evening.
