Are you psyched about this new business on East 4th Street?
An EVG reader let us know that the new psychic's space opened this week at 193 E. Fourth St. just east of Avenue A.
The location has more to offer than the original "psychic coming soon" signage led us to believe. Aside from spiritual advising, the professionals here are also offering life coaching. (No word at the moment what their lifetime coaching record is.) Also, walk-ins welcome.
The storefront was previously home to Bikes, by George!

Psychic coming soon on East 4th Street
During the weekend, EVG reader Alexis noticed some activity in the retail space that Bikes, By George! previously occupied on Fourth Street just east of Avenue A… a sign then arrived in the front window noting "Psychic coming soon."
That almost sounds like a warning.
George Philbert closed up his 7-year-old shop here at the end of June. He told customers that he couldn't afford the new higher rent. I do not know what he was paying, but, according to the listing, the asking rent is $3,750 monthly for 340 square feet.
These days you can find George selling bikes on East 11th Street between Avenue A and First Avenue.

East Village (temporarily) down 1 psychic
The psychic who has been psychicing from the psychic's space above Dunkin' Donuts on First Avenue at East Sixth Street has moved out of her home of 17-plus years, according to Bill the Libertarian Anarchist.
Apparently she is taking her business to Midtown.
It is not immediately clear what will become of this space. (The psychic signs remain as of this writing.) As we exclusively reported last fall, the business was for sale on Craigslist.
Flashback!
Meanwhile, what is your favorite psychic ability? Put us down for levitation.

Local psychic sets local record for storefront renovation
[Photo via EVG reader Ruth]
In our worldwide exclusive from Tuesday, we noted that the longtime psychic at 199 Avenue A was closed for renovations.
But, by golly, the new sign and awning went up yesterday… and the place looks nearly ready to start telling your fortunes very, very soon.
Kinda digging the blue.

Who knew what and when? Psychic closed for remodeling on Avenue A
Yesterday afternoon, EVG reader Ruth noted that workers removed the awning from the psychic's storefront at 199 Avenue A near East 12th Street…
Likely a pretty pricy chunk of real estate for $5 tarot card readings… However! The psychics figured that people would question if this space would become home to another specialty food shop or something… so there is a sign… "Psychic is remodeling."

Strangely enough, during my last reading here, I envisioned this happening
