I missed being there this year at Brooklyn Bridge for the fireworks but was able to catch them live on NBC-TV as they went off - looked spectacular as always - the Gorgeous One thought so as well and now she is VERY excited to be in NYC next year on the 4th. Can't wait...
Hi NYCD.... I thought my friend was being awfully optimistic about being able to see anything.... Hope the weather next July 4 is as lovely as it was on Saturday.
Hi Goggla... I do think this was a one-year thing on the Hudson with all the Henry Hudson 400-year hoopla. Don't see what all the fuss is about over a guy who founded a Parkway! (OK — boo....)

Haha, yeah, I had the same view from Suffolk. I hope they return to the East River next year.
