Back in November,
we posted some photos of
Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Kate Upton shooting a Zoo York commercial in Tompkins Square Park... like this one, had we actually taken it...
Anyway, apparently there's this big
fake controversy about the ad. According to various reports (
like in the Daily News), MTV and Adult Swim have refused to air the commercial.
Something about "bleeped profanity" and, perhaps, some "erect nipple."
Anyway, see for yourself in this —
ohhhhh! AHHHHHHHHH! — uncensored version!

Gee, you don't think they rejected it because the cockroaches have what sounds like "inner youth" voices to me, in other words this is racist shit. Upton ain't that great looking, but I guess for the 17 year old set who eat a lot of meat it gets their juices bubbling...
I appreciate the balance this post brings to the TSP coverage. It had been dominated by rats.
Sound like NYers to me.

True! Promise to balance the rats with more abs and Spandex.
Nice to see that the writer's from Joe's Apartment got a gig again!
I think the cockroaches sound more like middle aged guys from Queens. Either way, this commercial sucks!
So this is what happened to my pet cockroaches Archie and Spookie!!1!
I don't like to see any creature that can feel pain injured, or even appear to be injured, for the sake of a commercial. Leave it to cynical advertisers to turn something good like TSP into something really ugly.
I didn't see any erect nipple.
@ Marty, Ha!
Otherwise I recuse myself, I will not be able to make a coherent argument on a topic where Kate Upton is involved.
