We had an update yesterday on the incoming Union Market at Avenue A and East Houston... now with a late summer opening date...
And today, as this photo via EVG reader Marian shows, workers are bringing in refrigerated cases for the new store... Can the beef-aging facility be far behind?

I've heard it's a cheaper version of Whole Foods and if so I welcome it! I'm sick if paying $$$$ for associated bullshit! I swear they must sell other grocery store leftovers. Yesterday I bought a whole chicken and it smelled like sulpher and still had feathers on it!!! If I'm going to pay high prices I want the food to reflect it.
We have one in Carroll Gardens and it's way more expensive than Whole Foods. Stick to Gracefully.
The plywood is in process of being removed at Union Market today...
