I hope they catch them & send them to jail for a few days. Even 'misplaced' paperwork so they stay a night or two do. These jackasses are committing a crime. It is not art to scribble your name on a wall.
i suspect the motivation is not much different than that which inspires the feral cats behind our building to come up the fire escape and 'tag' our windows.
Then call me ignorant! Those gates serve two purposes. One is to keep criminals out and the other is to be tagged. If you don't like graffiti move back to Berkeley.

Who cares what the gate looks like? Grafitti is just as New York as the Empire State Building.

Graffiti is blight. To suggest otherwise is ignorant.
