A neighbor of mine at Ave C and 3rd street had his bike stolen last weekend :/
It would be helpful if a description of the perp was made available. Why is there no description on this notice? I walk around that area all the time and would like to keep an eye out.
I live in one of these buildings listed. One of our new neighbors was robbed a few weeks ago. The landlord always removes the fire escape gates when the apartments turn over so the one window studios renting for over $2500 per month look more inviting to prospective renters. The new tenants never install new ones until after they get broken into. Also a lot of these new tenants are pretty much oblivious to urban living and are used to leaving their doors unlocked and windows unlatched. The ground floor apartments had all their street level window gates removed by the landlord.
@ 1142am Who is your landlord? The new kids on the block think they are still in their dorm rooms and leave their windows open and buzz anyone in who hits the buzzer.
We live at one of the buildings that was hit. Since then,we've had two men come knocking on our door saying they are from Apollo Gas. They have done this two days in a row. Needless to say, we did not allow them entry.
This sounds really scary. Is no one able to describe the person??? No cameras in any of the affected buildings?
Moron outlanders. First thing I did when I moved in in 1968 was have a window gate installed. It meant I lost the use of my lovely floor-to-ceiling oak shutters, but better that than have somebody come creeping in. Oh, and a police lock too. Kept out forced entries at least once. And what kind of blithering idiot leaves the door unlocked even in cow country?
