We are revisiting this city sooner than we expected. Back in February, we signed a contract for a beautiful location in East Village and our first location will be an open and beautiful sourdough bakery combined with a coffee bar.
We recently started the renovations and together with our local partner we look forward to welcoming you this summer with bright coffees, sourdough bread and handmade pastries.
The previous tenant here, Pure Green, which sold cold-pressed juices, smoothies and açaí bowls, closed in early 2020. They had several roommates — Wattle Cafe, Greecologies, PlantMade and the I.V. Doc — dating back to their opening in March 2017.
Thanks to Steven for the photo and tip!

Wow, this is a bit of promising news for this part of the neighborhood after losing fresco and Third Rail Coffees in the last year.
That is an Icon owned building. I don't patronize any business that's in an Icon owned building.
I do like me some sourdough bread. Good addition!
Wow, that is awesome news! My favorite roaster in the neighborhood (City of Saints) is permanently closed. I love Coffee Project but I call it "special occasion coffee" -- it's so damn expensive. Porto Rico isn't quite on par for those two, but I do like their iced coffee blend. Scandinavian coffee + sour dough sounds like a godsend!
If anyone has suggestions for great, fresh roasted beans in the EV, I'm all ears!
This is great news!! La Cabra is one of my favourite coffee shops in my home town in Denmark. Finally no more burned coffee in NYC!
Kona at E 3 on First Ave, but not roasted on site. Much better than the one across that street.
