According to the listing, the corner storefront will be available starting in September with an ask of $150 per square foot. (Bring back Bendiner & Schlesinger blood labs!)
TD's mini move continues the trend in which banks downsize their branch networks. Per CNBC on Friday: "U.S. banks shuttered 2,927 branches last year, according to S&P Global Market Intelligence data."

Sad the way things are going.
So much retail space is emptying out. Really scary for this city.
Good - get these banks out of the EV
Retail space is uncertain for sure but it's an opportunity to re-imagine things. What lovely things could we have instead of intl bank branches, chain coffee shops, etc etc. Maybe something the neighborhood actually wants instead of what is imposed upon us.
Re: Jill W "Maybe something the neighborhood actually wants instead of what is imposed upon us."
Everybody uses Amazon and then complains about lack of retail stores the "neighborhood actually wants".
Imposed on us? You can open a business you think the neighborhood needs.
Once again, I hope you people celebrating the death of businesses/more vacancies and lamenting what the neighborhood wants are actually trying your hand at adding to the neighborhood. A bank is better than a vacant graffiti covered building full stop
I haven't seen the homeless woman who is typically in front of that TD bank in awhile. Hopefully she's found shelter from the cold.
Wish they would bring back the coin counter machines for account holders.
“Cash is king. If it wrecks the neighborhood, tough!”
Not sure why anyone would be down on a bank,
there aren't many of them left in the area.
And sometimes you actually need to go in
and get some kind of service.
Saw her today!
TD Bank has a sign there that the remodeling is to improve customer service! They also reduce their hours to improve customer service, according to their other signs.
@Anon 4:34 - lol, classic! I guess removing the coin machine was also to improve customer service. I really miss that thing.
