EVG reader Elliot noted that the Parks Department trashed the newly double-wide Hell Ride in the multipurpose courts/TF in Tompkins early this morning.
We thank you for your service... (photos from Saturday by Stacie Joy)...
As recounted to a local skater via DM screenshot on IG [now deleted], the ramp was removed because the @volonyc organizers complained: "Yes, we complained. Our players, and a lot of other people who actually use that court, complained. The Hell Ride was taking up way too much space and blocking a public, multi-use court from being used for basketball. It's not a skatepark, it's a shared space. We pushed for it to be addressed, and it was. So yeah—we complained, and rightfully so. If that bothers you, that's not our problem."

Why?
Seriously! WTF are they doing? The Ramp was a piece of art
I only assumed it was Parks. I was walking home from PureGym and observed them stomping it to pieces, then loading it into a Sanitation truck.

That’s so lame. It didn’t seem to impede their loud Sunday afternoon games. Hope nobody complains about that…
