Trash PSA on Avenue A
EVG reader Annabelle shares this from the southwest corner of Avenue A and Ninth Street... apparently the mayor's solar-powered Big Belly trash can is out of service (Day 21 per the sign).
Despite the obvious problem with the Big Belly, people continue to stack trash on top on the pile of trash...
Staff from Doc Holliday's is behind at least some of the signage...
Updated 9/22
Someone cleaned up the trash... but the Big Belly is still broken...

Prom night at Doc Holliday's
Doc Holliday's is holding a Prom Night tonight at Ninth Street and Avenue A. Gentleman, don't forget your corsages. Ladies, please be careful putting on the boutineer!
Though Doc's is calling for "redneck formal attire," we understand that "retro" is back in for the Big Night... as seen in these obvious pop-cultural references...
For Spike...

'Gossip Girl' guys try to act natural walking by Doc Holliday's
Thanks to the readers for pointing out that Dan and Nate (or is it Nate and Dan?) were shown in last night's episode of "Gossip Girl" walking by Doc Holliday's on Avenue A and Ninth Street...
I wonder where they were headed. San Loco?
Previously on EV Grieve:
'Gossip Girl' returns to the East Village, a headline that may score me some awesome SEO!
The Times goes to the Mars Bar with one of those guys who's in "Gossip Girl"
Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Penn Badgley, Chace Crawford, Ed Westwick, Taylor Momsen

Chico freshens up Doc Holliday's
To be honest, Chico's Doc Holliday's mural on Ninth Street at Avenue A was a little nicked up...
And so, as NYCETC captured on Saturday, Chico was back on hand to update his work...
And here's what it looked like yesterday...
PS
I really like the photos at NYCETC....
