That's a wrap for Five Tacos on St. Mark's Place
The Five Tacos comeback has apparently come to an end. A for rent sign recently arrived on the now-empty storefront at 119 St. Mark's Place between Avenue A and First Avenue.
The quick-serve taco shop went dark back in January... a sign on the door said they'd be "closed until further notice."
In February, a Five Tacos rep emailed me, saying that they'd be reopening very soon, but only for a lunch service and catering.
Anyway, it never looked all that open to the public in recent months. Five Tacos, owned by the folks behind 10 Degrees Bar on the block, debuted in January 2012.

Five Tacos has not been open lately on St. Mark's Place
The gate has been down at Five Tacos on St. Mark's Place near Avenue A for the past two weekends.
The sign on the door says that they are closed until further notice...
For now, Google shows them permanently closed...
The inside of the quick-serve restaurant looks cleaned out. And the phone goes unanswered.
Five Tacos, part of the Ten Degrees family next door, opened in January 2012.

Five Tacos now open on St. Mark's Place
Several readers have told us that Five Tacos is now open at 119 St. Mark's Place just west of Avenue A... One reader said that last night was the grand opening.
Wasn't open when we walked by this morning... So, a rather off-kilter shot then of the menu...
CB3 approved a beer-wine license for them. It's run by the owners of Ten Degrees Bar a few doors down...
