'Charming studio in the heart of the East Village' will eventually have a kitchen
We're just looking around at apartments and came across this listing for a place on East 12th Street ... described as a "Charming studio in the heart of the East Village!!!"
Eventually, sure! Once the kitchen arrives, definitely.
Staging tragedy aside, the listing is upfront about the place "being gut renovated!"
With a promise of new appliances and cabinets on the way, the place will probably be pretty nice for $1,850. Anyway, just be happy that you have a ceiling now.

This 2nd Avenue apartment looks rather haunted, though isn't likely
We were just poking around the apartment listings at Streeteasy, as we like to do. We spotted this new ad for a one-bedroom apartment at 103 Second Ave. Innocuous enough.
The photo caught our attention, though. The empty space is rather chilly looking, with that lonely ceiling fan.
But what is really chilly... and maybe scary! Who are those shadowy figures lurking in the other room?
Ghosts of Brokers past? Hard to capture much paranormal activity based on one photo. We need to see the clocks.

Apartment listing photos of the day
There's a new listing for an apartment at 264 E. Second St. Per Streeteasy:
The "high ceilings" part is accurate... Ceilings go any higher this might be a duplex...
Maybe the brokers will post new photos once workers finish the ceiling. Price: $3,400.
Newly gut renovated 3 bedroom apartment on East 2nd street, right off of Avenue C. Apartment features include hardwood floors, high ceilings, large bedrooms and separate kitchen.

The staging obviously sold this Avenue C duplex
An EVG regular shared this apartment listing with us...
Step right up to a UNIQUE 2BR/CONV3 with space for four to share!
Nestled on Avenue C - the new block du jour of the East Village, this is a sprawling listing in a new building.
Upstairs you'll find the kitchen, two HUGE bedrooms (Queen sized beds and dressers, check) a full kitchen and full bath.
Down the spiral staircase you'll find a MEGA studio space plus alcove, plus half bath. And a private second entrance. It's like a whole other apartment. You also have access down here to your HUGE OUTDOOR SPACE!
Yes, blah, blah. It was the accompanying photos, though, that really bring home this duplex's best features ...
... no word if the can of Lysol and the plastic beverage cooler are included on the HUGE OUTDOOR SPACE!
Anyway. Doesn't matter. Staging sells, of course, and devotees of the lived-in bro look likely couldn't pass this one up! Plus, demand being what it is, this place was on Streeteasy less than a week before some people rented it. Price: $3,595.

An apartment that 'has no issues'
A reader who is looking for a new apartment shared this listing for a nice place on East Seventh Street between Avenue B and Avenue C... the reader was both amused, and, later, horrified, by the description...
The previous occupant was a master carpenter/environmentalist and it shows! Every room has AT LEAST ONE WINDOW!
Nice! What else?
Basically the apt has no issues. All the bedrooms are a nice size. It's not on ave D, it's not above a bar, its not near a hospital or on a strange block. It's actually on a well lit, active residential tree lined street.
Per the reader: "'Not on Avenue D'? Just what are they trying to say?"
Also, the apartment has been rented.
