A few signs of fall
As I first reported, it is now the fall. And I have done a lousy job of documenting this change of season...

Peephole reminder
In case you missed our post from Saturday, East Village artist J. Kathleen White's latest peephole dioramas are now on display along the fence outside the Ninth Street Community Garden at Avenue C. You can check out the art anytime — not just when the garden is open.

Check out J. Kathleen White's excellent peephole dioramas for 2012
Since 2005, East Village artist J. Kathleen White has created a set of peephole dioramas and displays them along the fence outside the Ninth Street Community Garden at Avenue C ... Her 2012 set went up yesterday, and Bobby Williams took a look... and make sure that you stop by to appreciate them in person...

A few scenes from fall (earnest edition)
Meaning, there won't be a gag photo at the end of some dude throwing up on my front door in an Octoberfest hat or anything...

Fall?
At the start of every summer, I always say that I'll go see one of the HBO Bryant Park Summer Film Festival films. But I never do it. Afraid I'll start throwing picnic baskets. And tonight is the last one for the summer of 2009. Just as well. It's "Close Encounters of the Third Kind." I'd be lost: I haven't seen the first two. (Boo! Hiss!)
And now I see New York has its annual Fall Fashion issue. Fall? I'd like a do-over on June, please. And I'd like to go see "Dog Day Afternoon" on July 6.
