What about Bob: Annoyance with Timothée Chalamet as Bob Dylan is so December 2024!

As seen on Avenue A between 11th Street and 12th Street...

Disappointing movie - not my Bob, not my Village and not my l960's. The whole tenor of the era was off. Every car in the movie was squeaky clean - every pedestrian in wrinkle-free clothing, moving along at a measured, calculated pace. No one went gaga at the sight of rock stars then, or sang along like Swifties at the Newport Folk Festival. All the principal characters were so somber and humorless."Inside Llewyn Davis" gave us a far more accurate look at the era.

"Inside Llewyn Davis", exactly! A movie that is good on so many levels. Not glitzy or jammed with "stars". The difference being it had actors : Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, John Goodman, Adam Driver, Justin Timberlake and, Garret Hedlund. The Cohen Brothers pulled off a quiet gem of a film.

Visually, it was a little disappointing as The Bagel and the Music Inn, two stores I was familiar with when I lived near W. 4th Street in the Village in the 90s were represented in the movie looking quite different and for only a few seconds. All the events in the movie were not really accurate. I became a Dylan fan and read a few nonfiction books and Dylan's own autbiography, Chronicles, and the world and stories in those books did not match the movie. Very good performances by the lead actors in the movie, but the story was not all that interesting.

Haven't seen the movie but, what chord is he supposed to be playing in the poster? Also, I've never seen dylan play an archtop guitar, if someone has a picture of him with one please post it.

If the guitar is in standard tuning, then it's an Am11 chord. But much more likely he hasn't a clue what he's doing, and just barring all the strings along one fret.
