The Tacos Nachos truck on 7th and B

Photos by Stacie Joy

The Tacos Nachos truck recently arrived on the NW corner of Seventh Street and Avenue B.

There is an extensive menu featuring tacos, burritos, tortas, nachos, quesadillas, and more.
We haven't tried it, but the cart has strong word-of-mouth, as we've heard several people mention now how good it is. (And there is a solid 4-star review on Yelp via power user Ruwan.)

It's a one-person operation, and she can crank out the orders...
The hours are flexible, but the cart is available most afternoons into the evening (except Mondays).

Let us know in the comments if you've tried it.

I have tried the chicken burritos from that cart, and it was very good the only problem is they only take cash and no credit or debit cards which is a problem as cash money is becoming obsolete.

I'll eat it, but I wish places out here served lengua more often :(

The problem with CC is the merchants have to charge a fee to use a CC. Which is nonsense because society is becoming cashless. But yet the CC companies charge us to use their product. It used to be Amex was the only one charging a fee now all CC companies do it.

Am very confused about NYC rules for food carts and food tucks....
Are food carts and food trucks able to situate wherever they want?
Or is there supposed to be a specific place which connects to the NYC license?

This summer near where I work there were incidents/disputes when new food carts and new food trucks showed up.

In one case, small food/take out shops were upset (understandably) when 1) a food cart situated right in front of their shops and 2) ladies with hampers arrived (by van) to sell food to construction workers.
In another, a new food truck parked next to another food truck that had been there for a few years - and there was an argument.

She also has a posted sign that she accepts payments via the Zelle app...

Why is it such a big hassle to have some cash in your pocket? There are cash machines everywhere, the idea that it's becoming "obsolete" is an illusion created by all the kids who only know how to pay with their phones.

I'm pushing 60 and rarely have cash on me. It's not just the kids who are the usual scapegoats.

You guys have way too much trust in technology. Maybe I'll buy you a Burrito next time we have a Blackout, AWS Crashes or (God Forbid) Carrington Event.
