As I noted yesterday, workers were fencing in the garden spot along East Fifth Street outside the Cooper Square Hotel... How many Popsicle sticks were used to make this?
However, as you can see, the Coopsters left a slot in the Popsicle sticks for any fancy car parties they may have this summer...

I walked by yesterday and the fence indeed looks weird and totally out of place--guess they wanted more than a white picket fence--but this fence reminds me of a Tiki Village.
ha, popsicle stick fence was the first thing that came to mind as well. good call.
waiting for the first tag...
since the Coop likes graffiti so much for its edgy, downtown vibe, maybe some local artists will oblige them by decorating their fence free of charge.
OMG, look at all those TOOLS in the last photo.
And I hope they treat the wood, so to speak. I can see someone standing there smoking and tossing a match..... woooooosh. It's awfully dry...
totally bizarre.
ok neighborhood dogs, your time to shine! go have a whiz fest on east 5th street
I'm taking wagers on when the first tag will appear.
Ha! Good idea, Jill... I thought about doing a reader's poll too... I'd say it will happen this weekend... if not sooner...
