... we had to stop people from touching it or trying to put him into a paperbag and take him home as a pet. Nuts! As I was calling an animal hospital, he flew out into traffic right into someone's open car window. Bet that was an interesting moment.

I would love a pet bat—they even purr!—but in this case that was a wild animal that was wounded. The only sensible thing to do would be to get him medical treatment and set him free.
Did you know a bat can eat its weight in mosquitoes in a night? We should never have to even consider spraying the city—just set up bat houses in every city park!
