Rent this Avenue D townhouse for $5,200 a month

[Via Google]

Here at 15 Avenue D, above Mom's Pizzeria, is a new listing for a 1,500-square-foot, three-floor townhouse that's renting for $5,200 a month. Per CitiHabitats:

MAGNIFICENT TOWNHOUSE STEPS FROM THE EAST RIVER! Enjoy COMPLETE PRIVACY, 3 floors of your own private space, a fully equipped windowed kitchen with a dishwasher, your private laundry room with a washer & dryer, exposed brick, hardwood floors, strolls along the river, and so much more!

And a few photos...

Kinda seems like a deal considering the dormy new units around the corner at 326-328 E. Fourth St. are going for as high as $8,000. And those units are apparently renting quickly.

And this is the rental world that we live in today. Where $5,200 on Avenue D seems like a deal.

there was no attempt to do the renovation in anything but a as quick as you can mode.
absolutely nothing was done to make this a semi-attractive home.
all you get is ugly space.
dis-architecture at its finest.
god save us.

Mmm, chain-link fixtures. So homey.

I've seen 4 people living in 400 square feet for $3200 so this is a great deal. You could easily get 10 people to share an have enough space left to rent on airbandb and make a profit.

Is that an indoor fire escape?
Terrible job. These people bastardize architectural concepts.

Right outside was the largest heroin corner in the LES 20 years ago. No person in their right mind would move on there unless economically forced to. Now its drawing high rents and the crowd whose parents can afford it.

So much has changed. I never would have thought it would reach D if you asked me years ago. The change is good in some ways and so bland and lifeless in others.
