Several readers have told us that El Diablito Taqueria opened yesterday on East Third Street between First Avenue and Second Avenue.
We didn't grab a menu just yet. Two readers have already tried it ... and gave the place high marks. Per one neighbor: "So far so good. I had the chicken burrito for lunch. Looking forward to trying their breakfast menu (breakfast burrito) since they open early."
They are opening every day from 10:30 a.m. to midnight.

Right after I whined on your Facebook page about it not being opened, it opened! I am a miracle worker!
I was racing off to the triumphant opening night of the Brotherhood Synagogue Hebrew School production of Guys and Dolls, so I could do no more than wave and yell welcome, but my husband picked me up a tilapia burrito to nom while working -- it was sublime. Though I wanted my customary hot sauce and husband said they didn't have any (!).
I just went in tonight- delicious homemade guacamole, agua de jamaica and tacos. Their hospitality is really incredible. Everyone, stop in to say Hi and order some Mexican snacks.
Welcome to the hood, Diablito!
