ReplyDeleteThought your readers might like to know there’s a new “Hong Kong Style” white-tablecloth Chinese joint in the neighborhood and we *highly* recommend it after discovering last night en route to another place we found via Google. (Our preferred source for quality Chinese eat-in and delivery for many years was Cottage Chinese at the corner of 16th and Irving which closed abruptly a few months back for reasons unknown.) This place is called Dim Sum Palace, is at 59 Second Ave between 3rd and 4th streets, and claims to be open until 1:00 a.m. daily. Apparently it’s a third location for family/owners with existing restaurants west side and midtown. Menu is vast and food was delicious...not dirt-cheap but not super expensive either. We plan to visit and order regularly and will cross our fingers this place sticks around.
Thanks for the comment. I did a few posts about their arrival — they opened in December (see post on Dec. 4, 2018). Wonder how long they'll keep the Grand Opening banners up!
