The Copy Center opened today at 47 Avenue A between East Third Street and East Fourth Street (in the retail space of the Ageloff Towers) … and from the look of the Grand Opening banner, it appears that the shop does a little bit of everything — business cards, brochures, menus, flyers and postcards…
As we understand it, the Copy Center is run by the folks who own the Essex Card Shop at 39 Avenue A.
The space was home to Galleria J. Antonio, who reopened in a smaller storefront two doors down in August.
All three of Christo and Dora's offspring have fledged this past week... leaving the nest on the Ageloff Towers on Avenue A and East Third Street and seeing what this neighborhood has to offer, like large church clocks...
In the meantime on Avenue A below, local businesses are getting into the red-tailed hawk spirit... with Exit9 and Downtown Yarns showing their hawk pride...
Been a few weeks since we've checked in on red-tailed hawk parents Christo and Dora, who have been busy building a nest (or two!) on the top floor of the Ageloff Towers on Avenue A between East Third Street and East Fourth Street.
As always, Goggla has been keeping tabs on the developments over at Gog in NYC.

And last week, The Greenwich Village Society for Historic Preservation's blog Off the Grid had a post on the history of the Ageloff Towers as well as the Christodora House, site of last year's hawk nest.
Tomorrow night, the Society is hosting a program titled The Red-Tail Hawks of Greenwich Village and the East Village — a lecture and slideshow with Gabriel Willow, a naturalist, guide and educator with New York City Audubon

With the Christodora House out of the picture, red-tailed hawk parents Christo and Dora have been searching for just the right space to build their nest this spring. (OK, late winter.)
After a few false leads, Goggla has discover where the nest is. Actually, make that nests. In recent days, Christo and Dora have been building two nests on AC units on the top floor of the Ageloff Towers on Avenue A between East Third Street and East Fourth Street…

Interesting choice given they are a few blocks away from the plentiful sticks and rats of Tompkins Square Park … above a far more active part of the neighborhood… (compared to their spot on the Christodora on Avenue B and East Ninth Street last year)…

EVG reader MA spotted this Urban Etiquette Sign in the Ageloff Towers lobby... apparently some "subleasers" are displaying their "primative [sic] behavior" on the roof deck here on Avenue A between East Third Street and East Fourth Street.
Earlier this afternoon... passersby spotted the smoke coming from the mobile boiler here on East Fourth Street at Avenue A (adjacent to the Ageloff Towers) ... Bobby Williams reports that the FDNY quickly responded ... no word on any damage to the boiler just yet...
The Posthas the story of firefighters saving a baby in yesterday morning's blaze at the Ageloff Towers. The paper reports that seven people suffered minor injuries during the fire.
Fire officials on the scene said they arrived to see flames blowing out three windows of the corner apartment. Firefighters battled the blaze from inside the building — water was seen shooting out windows and onto the street. It took firefighters roughly an hour to get the fire under control, officials said. FDNY officials said a couple lived in the apartment. No one was injured, but the apartment was completely destroyed, fire officials said.
Phil of the East Village arrived at Ageloff Towers before fire crews and called 911... saw the trucks arrive. He took the above shot after firefighters arrived on the scene. We understand that the fire is under control...
