The polite tip jar thief at Lebrini's Pizzeria

Bobby Lebrini, proprietor of Lebrini's Pizzeria on Avenue C at East Third Street, shares another surveillance video with us... last time out, the video captured a young man who goes berserk inside the pizzeria after his girlfriend apparently dumps him...

Today's video is much more civilized... a young man orders a slice for his grandmother... then helps another customer with his tray ... and then! The young man quickly dips his hand into the tip jar and calmly walks away with what looks like half of the loot...

More details about yesterday afternoon's shooting on Avenue C and East Third Street

Many readers shared news of a large police presence yesterday afternoon around 2 on Avenue C and East Third Street. According to witnesses, a man was shot in the stomach "in a drug deal gone bad."

According to the Post today, a gunman shot a 52-year-old man before fleeing. The victim is at Bellevue. His injuries were not life-threatening, per the Post.

The shooting occurred near Lebrini's Pizzeria on the corner of East Third Street and Avenue C. Owner Bobby Lebrini passed along the photos here. He believed that there were two men who met the victim, who was standing in front of the cab in the photos. One man stood on the corner while the other two talked for about 1 minute. That's when the one man allegedly produced a gun and shot the victim in the stomach.

"It must have been a small caliber — like a .22 — because there were like 10 people in the pizzeria and no one heard it or reacted to it on [the video surveillance]," Lebrini said.

Both men, who were described as Hispanic, took off south toward Houston.

Watch this guy go beserk inside Lebrini's Pizzeria on Avenue C

Bobby Lebrini, proprietor of Lebrini's Pizzeria on Avenue C at East Third Street, shared this video with us... the incident that takes place occurred about three years ago. (He filed a police report at the time; the NYPD has seen this.) He thought he'd share it for entertainment value... he's currently cleaning out his video collection. First of several, perhaps!

A few things. The set-up.

Man and woman walks into the pizzeria. She orders a slice. He doesn't order anything. And then she proceeds to break up with him.

The rampage begins in the last 30 seconds, if you'd like to move along to the end.

"I added music to lighten the mood a little," Lebrini said. "It's painful to watch for me to this day even though it happened three years ago. He never was caught and I'm pretty sure she is from the neighborhood, although I never spotted her again."

A few things for after you watch it.

Yes, that is shatterproof glass.

"He did break the two windows on the side doors, but amazingly the front window didn't break after two hits." The tab: 1 table, 3 chairs, 2 windows and 1 picture. "Approximately $1,500 that came out of my pocket because insurance didnt cover it.

"That's another thing — he didn't even buy a thing."
