Saw the identical scene about three weeks ago on 9th between 1st and 2nd. Dude is probably lucky they busted the window and didn't carve a hole in his roof. if you gonna roll in a bitchin' ride like that, you might want to find a garage for the night...
I'm often surprised what people leave in clear view in their cars... maybe we can start leaving polite little notes on their windshields, "In the future, you may not want to leave your iPod on the passenger seat..."
Let me amend my previous comment...I guess I SHOULDN'T be surprised that people leave things in their cars in plain view...just based on some of the people (yunnies, etc.) that I see parking in the neighborhood for a night out...

Yet another reason not to own a car in NYC.

saw the same thing at 9th between 1st and 2nd on Monday.
It looked like they opened the glove compartment, but the radio was still in the car.
I've also noticed several on 10th Street between 2nd Ave and Third Ave....
maybe it's the penistrator...
almost a car a day on 9th between B and C. sometimes 8th or 10th as well.
i'd assume electronics left in the car (or electronic looking things).
