So South Brooklyn Pizza is giving this another shot. They had a petition going recently, asking anyone who came in on a Saturday night to sign. They're on a block with 3 bars and around the corner from St Marks. They've taken over the former Ruben's Empanadas space next door. Also looks like they're planning to have a dining space in the bunker that's in their backyard, with some outdoor seating, all in the middle of a courtyard with hundreds of apartments all around. If CB3 approves them, I don't know what to say.
So, if you want to speak about one application, you have to sit through up to 39 others - that just doesn't seem fair to the community folks. You would think that there's a way to split this up or break it down by certain hours. Otherwise, bad applicants can just wear down and/or wait out any community opposition.
