Dave on 7th passes this tidbit along... spotted at Verso, the Italian bistro that opened on Eighth Street and Avenue C this past May 16 ... They closed yesterday for the renovations...
Have you eaten here? Just curious what people think of the place...

The new management are terrible. Food is just ok.
the food is way overpriced & smallish portions - the previous spot was much better (peppe rosso). There is better italian in the hood.
We eat here a lot and always find the management lovely. The food I think is still being worked out but is delicious.
Thanks for the feedback. Have never been here. (Never tried Peppe Rosso either.)
Verso hasn't seemed too busy the few times that I've been over that way... which could be a good thing (an undiscovered spot) or, well ...
The place is great. I eat here a lot. The owner is a cool guy. Don't understand the snippy comments.
