The Drunken Clam opens tonight on St. Mark's Place
Via Thrillist, we learned about The Drunken Clam, a clam-beer bar that opens tonight below the tofu-karaoke complex at 6 St. Mark's Place. (Thrillist describes it as "an underground bunker of clams and beer.")

They couldn't think of a more original name? This is the name of the bar on Family Guy.
That's like naming your bar Moe's Tavern. Boooooo!
The bar on FG is the Bearded Clam. 7th grade humor at its best. But yeah, pretty lousy name for a bar and where are the fried clams? Come on...

Are "frat boy/sorority girls" going to be lining up to go to a bar that specializes in servicing clams? Is that a stereotype that I missed?
Upstate on 1st Ave is the Oyster place and their clientele seems relatively low key. So is it just clams that the college kids love these days?
This will only increase the number of weekend vomit puddles on Saint Mark's Place.
