Finally saw the gate down this January/month at Mikey Likes It Ice Cream at 199 Avenue A near East 12th Street ... we always like the murals for their 1980s-inspired flavors... this month: The Material Girl, dedicated to the former East Fourth Street resident...

Madonna gets another face lift each time they open the shop.
OK, I admit I resisted Mikey's in the beginning, in alliance with Davey's. But I now found a better game than guessing the identity of EVG! What will the next roll down mural be? I spoke with Mikey tonight, and he seriously is the nicest store owner I have met, by far. He said it will be all about LOVE and a female.(and he nixed Courtney and Jennifer LH)Start guessing. And if that Foxy Brown scoop was not the best ice cream Ive had in a very long time....
I didn't know she lived on east 4th! Anyone know which cross streets?
