Relive the July 4 fireworks with this East Village drone footage

In case you missed the fireworks last night… or want to relive them… here's some drone footage… it doesn't have any sound, so you may want to pick whatever you think might make some good accompaniment …

Updated 7-6

Here is more East Village drone footage from another source… this video has some musical accompaniment …

Very cool footage. Great use of a drone. Are they legal over the city, or at least the EV?

From WYNC ----

Gregory McNeal, a law professor at Pepperdine University School of Law and frequent contributor about drones for Forbes, says he’s dug through the New York City ordinances and hasn't found any specific language outlawing drones.

Very nice. And so much for the Con Ed SAM system.

drones aren't illegal to operate even over a city, but FAA guidelines say they aren't supposed to be used over "populated areas"... practically speaking: "no harm, no foul" but if you crash and damage people or property you can get hit with charges. Probably why the operator of that first video stayed over the power plant and not the crowd ;)
props to the 2nd video, reverse fireworks in 4K was very cool!
