Every day is Record Store Day... but tomorrow (Saturday!), is the official day this year. Here is the local action...

I once had a copy of that Beatles compilation with the dolls and butchered meat.

Hey it's Record Day when people buy overpriced reissues by big and/or defunct bands with little or no care for the unsigned, underground current band.

Cuz the world needs yet another Beatles reissue, and I love 'em.

Your local band just released their first 7"? You're not welcome.

Turntable Lab, Academy Records etc. are not real record stores until they carry records by local/area unsigned/underground bands.

I am as big a Beatles fan as there could be. I don't see any point in fussing over some silly rehash compilation album because the cover was considered controversial in 1965 or whenever it was.

Too bad that Other Music is no longer. The commercial space on 4th street is still vacant! Sad to not see the line that formed in front for RSD and all the customers happy with a purchase from that store I also frequented. Rent too damn high
