ReplyDeleteWow. What a beautiful tribute. So sad we lost many in 2020. :(
ReplyDeleteMay all of these beautiful peoples' memories be a blessing, and may we rage and revolt in memory of those (especially our elders and workers) who perished silently and out of sight due to the pandemic and the apathy and greed of our ruling class, who will stop at nothing to clear out every rent controlled apartment and destroy every mom and pop shop.
ReplyDeleteRespect. Thank you for another year so diligently chronicling our joys and sorrows. Happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteA heartbreaking list. The EV lost some real ones this year. Not to mention those less well known taken unnecessarily by political mismanagement of COVID.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tribute to those we lost.
ReplyDeleteThank you EV Grieve, Greg Masters said it Best, for chronicling the Joy and Sorrows.
Beautiful people RIP.
Thank you for posting this.
ReplyDeleteThanks for mentioning hanshi Wilfredo roldan. He moved his dojo uptown when he left the university of the streets location, but he was a long time part of this community.
ReplyDeleteI have more information on him that I plan to post tomorrow
